Have a Wonderful Summer
On behalf of everyone at William Penn, I would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy summer. We look forward to seeing you all back again on September 1st 2010. It has been a very good year and we have enjoyed working with you and your children. Thank you for supporting the school.
Health and Safety
We are always looking for ways to make your child’s school experience as safe as possible. With this in mind, we have just had finger shields installed. These are plastic strips which fit between the doors and doorframes, allowing the doors to function whilst taking away the possibility of pinched fingers

Planet Plenty, our end of year show with an eco-theme was a huge success last week. The children were fantastic and enormously entertaining. Mrs Fairlie and Mrs Breacher did a great job in getting the show together – despite an ‘Ofsted’ reduction in rehearsal time! Well done everyone. T
The Weald School Africa Project
You have probably heard that William Penn School has established links with Nabunga School in Kenya. Our children have been corresponding and discovering a great deal about the differences and similarities between the two schools. This pairing of schools has come about as a result of our involvement in The Weald School’s ‘Africa’ project and ‘Classrooms for Kenya’ initiative. On Thursday 23rd September, there will be a Charity Golf Day at West Chiltington Golf Club in aid of this cause. If you would like further details, please see the school notice board.
Leavers’ Assembly Reminder
On the last day of term, Friday 23rd July, we will be holding our traditional Leavers’ Assembly at 2pm. We invite the families of our Year 6 pupils to join us for the assembly and will have some space if other parents wish to attend.
